Neighborly Moment from Chinatown
I just moved to Philadelphia in Feb. 2021 which was a difficult time due to weather, COVID, and also the rise in Asian hate crimes. As an Asian American who grew up in a predominantly white town, many people didn’t look like me. It wasn’t until I moved to the east coast I felt like I could walk around places and spaces and didn’t stand out in the crowd. I was amazed by the community coming together in solidarity for the Asian hate crimes and felt like I made the right decision moving here.
